Air bleeder after new radiator.

Putting a new radiator in a 92 SVX...wondering there is a need (and way) to purge air from the system afterwards.

After I refill with coolant, is there a way to bleed any air out of the system...??.

My Acura has an air bleeder screw on top of the main coolant pipe.

Some people have had issues with air in their cooling system.

I have had my radiator out on several occasions without issue.

Just curious, why did you have to replace the radiator?

Wish I could have contacted you sooner. The crack is normal from plastic breakdown due to heat and age. I have replaced one radiator in 1999. When my $390 replacement did the very same thing in 2004, I started the ALL ALUMINUM RADIATOR PROJECT. I just replaced my last SVX radiator. If you need one in the future, PWR will be the provider of aftermarket aluminum radiators. If you are interested in getting in on the initial buy, the order is closing this Friday. Pictures are in my locker.

Aluminum Radiators

Well....sounds interesting....what;s the price?

But doubt I'll get in on it......I now have four 92 SVX's....all teal...and I've not yet driven one over a mile...... I buy them for their engines ....to put into Volkswagon Vanagons.....but I recently bought one ...with the customary dead tranny...thats in too good shape to part out....so would like to put in a working tranny I have and see what's its like to drive one.....

I also have all the parts for a 5 speed changeover out of a '02 Impreza RS.

But out of the four cars...I have three working radiators....

.......with one keeper car....that should keep me going for a while. I'll probably keep one radiator as a spare as long as I keep one car and sell the other one.

I'm parting out three cars if you need parts.

Warren
