Sorry to jump in so late, but I saw speak of the draft. I don't think it will ever happen. Just way too much finger pointing could happen and I don't think Bush would like that. If it does, I'm not worried, I'm the last man in my family to pass along the bloodline. No drafty for Keithy!!!!!!!!1!

They do it (change, not necessarily remove) all the time.....they're called AMENDMENTS.

Bzzzz...Wrong answer

Were a union of states...not a union of the people.
That's why its called the United 'States' of America....not the United people of America

The electoral college is just fine as it is.

Some interesting facts that I just recieved in an Email today.... was a little inappropriate, so i'll cut and paste facts... here we go

9 of the 13 founding colonies are considered democratic
9 out of 10 states that pay the least in federal taxes, yet recieve the most, republican
8 out of 10 of the states that pay the most, yet recieve the least, democrat

Lowest divorce rates in states, 9 out of 10 are democrat

Highest divorce rates in states 10 out of 10 are republican

Highest murder rates in the nation... republican states

Just a little food for thought. theres TONS more like this.. just these were the most relavent.

And seriously... vote by counties?? what the hell

People who work the least, but receive the most...democrats.

P.S. - No offense to you drivemusic, but that's the dumbest correlation i've ever heard. At least 5 of the "democratic" states in this election actually had more than 3/4 of their counties vote republican. It worked the other way for republican states to. You can't really call the "side" of the people in the state by the way the state went in the election. Unless they're talking about some other way to call a state "democratic".

yeah... but I wouldn't have believed or posted it if i didn't verify the facts i could..

And Shadow... I guess you would have to define work in that sentence... if someone spends 10 years of their life going through school, becomes an expert in their field, but puts fewer hours, or whatever, does that mean they're doing less work?

I was simply referring to the fact that it is the democrats who are the diehard fans of things such as welfare, unemployment, etc. They also happen to make up the largest percentage of trial lawyers in this country. Meaningless? Probably, just like your state facts.
