Ideas for an SVX table...

I've heard that trunk lids are hard to sell due to a lack of breakage, now I'm thinking of a coffee table made out of an old lid anyone seen this yet? I always wanted a line of high end furniture based on car parts, I've got a couple old BMW I4 engines that would make a perfect table if I set a sheet of glass on top of them

The problem is that there's a very fine line between automotive art and automotive trash. And it's not a straight line. As a matter of fact, there are even two separate lines - one for men and one for women.

My granfather once framed a fluid mixing device he designed. It was simple and elegant and it looked friggin' cool.

I think in most cases, you're going to have to use parts which look really cool to begin with. Then you're going ot have to come up with a design which complements the parts and turns the piece into 'art' instead of 'trash.'

Really? For 2K it better be a real Rolls frontend with real gold in the grill.

Automotive trash furniture:

any back seat out of a van.

hubcap wall ornimants.

steel wheels stacked under a peice of plywood.

Small block heads under your box spring.

Did I mention I have a set of EA82 camshaft candle sticks?

I've always been a fan of pick up rear gate benches myself.

Hrm... I hung hubcaps up in my garage (when I had a garage). I always thought it looked really cool.
