Don't you worry about spills with that Mitch? The though of a drink splashing from a bump andgetting on my suede dash would terrify me. Would be awful hard to clean a coffee or cola stain out of the fake suede. Unless you only drink water

Never had a spill from these. But I always use a travel mug coffee or a lid on the soft drinks.
Even with the 32oz mug I've not had a problem.
NOW....

the one that mark uses here attached to the window would really make me slow down around left turns... unless I only carried a 6 oz mug... (hardly a sip for me..)

Actually..... the suction cups hold rather well and I've had some rather large drink cups reliably held.

Right now, though, I've got one 'cup' that isn't 'sticking' too good.... I've either got to clean the glass better or I've got a little tiny cut or something in the cup edge.........

BTW- I've had occasion to need to clean my 'suede' because of dirty hands, etc. near the handle- I've successfully used dry-cleaning fluid/degreaser (Trichloroethane) to clean the dirt/grease from those areas. (In fact, I've got to do that again.... )

As far as I am concerned the wedgie still comes out in first place. Instantly removable, no moving parts, easy to clean. I have travelled with 2 extra-large DD coffees in them and never had trouble with shifting of the cupholder or spilling. I also like the small center bin for use as a cell phone holder, change, etc.

In true sv-Xcessive style I will be bringing 25 of them to Reading

I would agree about the Wedgie. It has been my favorite, and I have tried losts of them. I always carry it in the trunk if I am not using it. It is easily installed, has room for two drinks, cell phone, extra change, receits, or junk. I love it, and have one for each of my SVXs. That way I am not without one. I also trust it, which I have not with other drink holders. I always have to drive with one eye on it because I am not sure if it will work. With the Wedgie, it always works and I feel safe with it.

Can I have my money now!

I once got an Atomic Wedgie in High School. I believe it was right after gym class.

You are my new hero. Please go through with this and let us all know. A few days ago I dumped a Coke on my crotch, seat, and floor mat after going through the McDriveThru. Your creation would ensure that this does not happen again. It would have to go in the top DIN slot, right?

I have a few rules for my car. No eating inside, and the only drinks allowed are bottles with twist on caps, no wide mouth bottles with the exception of water. oh and no sport caps, like the ones on gatorade, or the ones you pull open (again water being the only exception, and no flavored water!)

If you build it they come! quick question? Would you be able to have the cup holder in the out postion and still able to put the car in park (I guess this is only an issue if you have an auto)
