I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

I've raced about everything...that you normally see on the road.

I've street raced, and drag track raced, interstate raced, from a roll raced, ....just raced every way you can think....

Range of good/not so good performance for the SVX:
0-15....is questionable...not that good usually....but it's all about the launch

15-30 mph.....good (try stomping on the gas while coasting at 16 mph)

30-52 mph....not so good, really slow in this acceleration range

about 55 and up....really really good accleration (interstate racing...try coasting at about 55 then stomping on it)

I raced an Inegra GSR at Gainesville Raceway.....78* temperature outside

Acura Integra GSR will beat an SVX (on a dry day....for those who love to make references "Well if the ground is wet!) in a 1/4 mile....but given 1/2 a mile...the SVX will out run the Integra GSR.

Now if that race started from 60....the SVX would pull ahead in less than a 1/4 of a mile.

I was once 17, and racing everything I pulled up next to or pulled up next to me......Most of it was a learning experince. (Means I lost ) but losing helps you catergorize the SVX and other cars into win & lose situations.

No more racing for me....too many tickets....believe it or not....I never got caught racing...nor speeding, it was stupid stuff...like seatbelt, tint, lights, radio.

Jacksonville is now finally repaving Fouraker Rd. due to my gracious contributions of ticket fines paid.

I just get busted for speeding... the racing ones could be pretty darn bad... especially those (mostly in my "younger" days) that went over 3 times the speed limit.

Usually when I race, I seem to have a better 0-15 than my opponent, even though it still seems to suck. I seem to get passed the worst on that top end (70, 80, 90) by cars I feel like I should be able to walk away from. Then it is the slow reel 'em in over 100... if I feel like taking her to 130 or so.

Sure, she isn't a really a drag racer... but I don't like to think of her as a mild mannered putzing-about-town kind of car either. Hopefully a 5 speed and an extra 100 hp will categorize her more solidly where I'd like her.

Well, at least they are just repaving with your money instead of building a new freeway lane, right?

But wouldn't it be nice to have your own personal freeway lane?

Speed? Me??

Anyone ever notice that in Power mode you don't shift into 4th until between 125 and 130? And then it starts to wind again.

Humm!! Did I say that?

re: let the racer's race

let the racer's race. some people need to feed their ego because they are lacking in another department. i'm with trevor from the other post in regards to the boring straight line dragway racing. i guarntee i can beat any integra gsr down a few roads that i know (i need danger in my life). it is approx. a 1 kilometer stretch, but the curves are dangerous. very, very windy for that 1 kilometer stretch. road signs recommend 20mph and the yellow signs use a 90 degree arrow to warn of the incoming curves. very exciting running those at 3am going 60mph+. although last night i saw a cop driving down the same road after i turned around and went back up the same street. i think someone tipped off the police about my little adventures i do it so late that no one runs on those roads too

oh well. going to buy 10 acres and build my own course.

Hot damn! Lemme know when it's finished. I'll come down for a weekend to visit my sister in Rome and jog over to Hotlanta to give 'er a look-see.

92 SVX 0-60 in 7.3
99 GSR 0-60 in 7.3

But chances are they are gonna do a burnout and fall behind quickly. Now if you have an AWD and come to Oregon where it rains 13 month a year, you can dole out a lot of whoopin's to the heavy hitters. Poor solar has too much dry pavement down there. I feel for ya, man.
