Subaru B11S Concept Coupe

Well, pictures of the Subaru concept coupe have been released. Found them at http://autoweek.com/specials/2003_geneva/.

I've got several of the pictures in my locker.

It's got the mini suicide doors like the Mazda RX-8. I guess thats a new trend now...

Over all, it doesn't look to bad. Not an SVX though, and at least their not calling it an SVX either.

I beat you on that link by a few minutes.

(I read an article in a British magazine yesterday that stated if this vehicle is produced, it won't appear until the 2007 model year. Methinks that's a bit pessimistic, as rumors have circulated for some time that test mules for a new coupe were spotted two years ago. Only time will tell, though.)

Wow! It really looks just like the artist rendering we saw last week or so. Not bad looking but definitely not smooth enough to be an SVX. What is with the hard edged look cars seem to be taking these days? They are starting to look like the "cars of the future" in the old 1980's sci-fi movies.

Anyone think Subaru would ever come out with a new SVX and not have the funky side windows ours has? It just wouildn't be an SVX to me without them.

Ding. Ding. Ding. I've been sitting here thinking what that front end reminded me off! I just couldn't come up with it! Maybe that's where the air flows in for the special super rare turbine version.

I do like the Carrera GT, don't get me wrong there. But the Zonda is...damn, I'd do naughty, naughty things with that car...

Thumbs up

I like that B111S.

Never was a fan of small coupes. To me, they are just 2 seaters with a hard roof.

To be a real coupe, it must have 4 seats, be a transcontinental express, and look sleek.

Not wild about the nose, but it is not as sick as the original frogeyed lights on the last or on the revamped WRX.

Good shape, I like it.

Joe

I like most of it's shape. Every angle but the Alfa/Edsil grill. It's just that Subaru never had that shape of a grill and it dosn't seem right. The interior is way to retro looking, like some of the Dodge concept cars, looks good in them but not in a Subaru. If they fixed the nose, clean up the interier (where's the manual shifter?), and drop in a 400hp TT 3.3L then I would really like it.

I like the rims on it...they have an ever-so-slight twist to them. If they were on the SVX they would be backwards
