I'm sure that I could commondere a USMC 7 ton truck that we could fit about 25 people from the network in.. Tell them to bring thier pitch forks and whatever other weapons..... I may be able to sneak off base with two trailers of 20mm rounds and a Vulcan gattling gun from an F-18... You know up there in Oregon we could do anything we want to the bastard that did that(and I could stop by and see my ex-girlfriend).... Who should I turn the controls of the 20mm Vulcan to???? anyone ever shot one before?? just kidding..... But I am really sorry to hear about that man, I really hope that you get your car back

Man, more important than the consequences for the guy who stole it, I really hope you get your car back unscathed. I can only imagine the range of emotions I'd be experiencing if somebody stole my SVX.

OT: I used to draw the illustrations for Gatling (proper noun, since the gun is named after its inventor) gun manuals. One of the manuals we did was for the F/A-18E/F. Visiting the plant to take reference photos was always fun.

I have printed the information and will keep it in my car as I drive around. Being in the NW, chances are a tad better that I could actually see your car.

I will do that as well. I sure hope everything comes out ok for you. I know how much time and effort you have put into the car.

If I see an SVX in the area I'll chase it down again and try to stop him.... If he stops I'll grab my night stick and walk over to the window and ask him for his licence and Registration, If he dosn't have them or they don't match, I'll beat the crap out of him and call ya with the lisence plate #... If it matches then you'll have your car back... If not, then I am sorry for beating down an innocent SVX owner....

GE doesn't actually make Gatling guns any more. GE sold the plant to Lockheed Martin (They decided that the 'we bring good things to life' motto didn't jive with the heavy machine gun business). Shortly thereafter, Lockheed Martin decided to get out of the vehicle business and General Dynamics decided to get out of the airplane business. General Dynamics bought the vehicle plant and LM bought GD's aircraft facility in Georgia, along with the F-16.

The vehicle plant is in Burlington, VT and still owned by General Dynamics.

As for how I did that, I went to an art school. LM's offer was the best I had at the time. Florida was getting really, really hot and Vermont sounded like a much better climate. I worked for a Lockheed Martin office that did logistics support and also technical documentation. I worked in the illustration department.

You have no idea how many engineering drawings it takes to make a Gatling gun. My job was to take those engineering drawings and create illustrations that people in the field could understand.

Even less likely the car will show up in Canada!

p.s. - the gun is useless. What are you going to do...shoot the car?

Got it back

One of my students saw it parked in a driveway not half a mile from my house!!! They called me but by that time they had moved the car. Luckily just down the road they dumped it. Front bumper damage, stolen stereo, that is all I know right now. Police took it so they could fingerprint it. Probably drove the piss out of it so who knows what other damage there is.
