Randy,

You got so emotional, you cried in my Chivas. I don't mind scotch & water but not salty water. I prefer my salt on my pretzels.

Thumbs up

Thank you, one and all, for making this THE definitive SVX forum site on the Internet.

At last - an occasion of note about which I can upgrade to a glass container & down the contents within.

Cheers, salut, & prost to all.

I'm sitting in a hotel room...

In Grand Jucntion. I just got back from dinner with Michelle and her husband Chris (thndrmtn92svx) owner of "Penny". Where else could a strange old man wander into a town and be greeted and invited to someone's home just because they own the same type of car? This has been a pretty special week for me. I got to meet Chis (CDG) on his epic trip across the states and home to BC. And this weekend I'm spending time with some of the Mountain west group..... not to mention how quiet my car is with the new bearing!!!(have I mentioned that somewhere before?) I want to thank everyone that has contributed to this forum, helped me with my questions...and maybe laughed at something I've written. I'm having a great time!! All because I bought a car!

Most of what can be said has been said as above.

What however I can say is that any one who may come down this way as Allan did can be assured of a welcome. What is more important is that I am sure that if I ever get up your way I have many kind friends.

This is not just because of " a " car. It is rather a special car which requires NICE people to fully appreciate. Now that MUST make the SVX a NICE car.

Special regards to all, (and even RON B. ), Trev. F.

Che belle Kelli,

Be nice. The boys from Da Brooklyn SVX Club might read this.
Besides the SVX was designed by one of our guys. Does the name Ital Design sound any thing but Italian.
Yes noodles were Chinese, but tomato sauce was Italian. Along with great cars, great food, great music, and great women.
Did I mention great women. Oh I almost forgot...CANOLI.

It has already been said so well...

....about how special this group is....and it is true. Like meeting with Solar and Lee on our trip to Florida, or the old Snowshoe gang, or new faces at Lafayette and Reading....too cool. Congratulations to all that make this site the success that it is.

<Cheers, salut, & prost to all>

Well Ron, I prefered Lauda to Prost....but I'll join you in that toast!

Salut

Hearing all these stories of people making friends just because of a car, I have to admit my own experience has been the same.

When I foolishly imported my SVX from Japan, it had so many problems and symptoms I almost cried. I got help, advice and support, including virtual hugs, from people on here and in England, including Groundeffect {Rob} whom I see is having electric window switch problems.

I had a great time meeting all the folks in Devon for the 10th Anniversary, all of them wonderful people.

Then Todd and Wendy arrived for a trip to Ireland, had some great evenings with them, and shortly afterwards Randy's Megan was over.

Suffice it to say I do agree that the people matter over the car. But this particular car does attract a startling amount of high calibre people!!

Keep networking folks, and if anyone is planning a trip from the US or New Zealand or Oz, wherever to Ireland, love to hear from you.

Joe

The Emerald Isle...

Joe, for four years Jean and I were in London....and never made it over your way. We were scheduled to take a package trip to Dublin once, but we had to cancel it due to a crisis with Libya. Someday, we will have to come visit your beautiful land. Don
