I don't think the JDM airbag steering wheel will fit the US models even though they look the same. The JDM non-airbag wheel and the JDM airbag wheel are apparently interchangeable on the JDM SVX. But the JDM non-airbag wheel definitely does NOT fit the US models, so .......... Also there are 4 different airbags wheels listed for the JDM SVX depending on the year.

The JDM console is also different from the US, as it is shorter.

Thanks Paul for a quick explanation about the steering wheels. I was also told that JDM airbags are smaller than the US specs thus will not meet the US requirements.

Yeah, I know I was not posting on this site for a while. Although I appeared at the yahoo group once in a while.
College started, I've had trouble putting everything together, and i guess kind of forgot about the message board.

Everything is OK with me and the car, he he. No troubles noticed so far, except for the gas prices that go through the open roof of SVX, which greatly affect my daily commute to college.

Not a very good news. Oh well. I am still going to be looking for a new steering wheel. My so called "leather" is all tore up, on the steering wheel. And the center console missing a little (glass or plastic) ash tray. Plus it is two colors, since I put it together from two different cars.

From now on, I am going to try to keep in touch here, since college is getting pretty boring, and need something to do other then that.

Nick,
Rather than getting a new wheel, I recommand that you re-wrap it. As for the ashtray, you can get it from a dealer. The only thing is it will run you about 70 bucks. I bought one about 2 years ago for my 94 L.

re-wrapping the steering wheel seems like a good idea, but i was looking to probably get a aftermarket steering wheel for the heck of it... so if you decided to go that route too, keep us posted cuz all that info would be useful.

ps. I have a feeling I am going to be sorry for asking this...
Hey Lwin, I would like one of those elusive JDM turbo SVX kits. If it isn't much more than S4 grille, I'll take a whole S4 (Audi that is).

On a note that is less full of bull-plop, has anyone received any JDM parts from the first order yet? Just curious.

re: phast

hey phil, i think lwin just does not want people to get the wrong idea. i don't think he's making money off anyone. i know on the last order he was getting harassed by people because they expected it to be on their front door in a few days so i can see why he wants to protect himself. i think he's doing it more as a favor to us for those who want parts for their cars that we obviously can't find here. i do remember lwin saying that if we want he can give us the guy's number and let us deal straight with japan, but we won't get a discount because our orders would not be in quantity. also i doubt that unless we knew the guy we probably won't get crap because those guys don't like to deal with the hassle of getting a couple of items and then sending it overseas to make $20 bucks. of course they want money first and i don't trust them enough to send them money first and not get any product. lots of dishonest people out there. also i've tried to get a few things from japan a few years back and unless it's in the thousands USD, they won't even respond.
