Smile Long Lost Family

Just this past Friday night I finally met James (SolarSVX) and also happened to meet Kevin (Sorry forgot Login name). It was maybe the first time my car had seen any of her brothers/sisters actually parked near. James and Kevin were great guys....had fun just hanging out (freezing) and talking about our SVX's. (Can't you tell it was my first time?)
James' car looks better in person and those rims are gorgeous. Kevin, I hope I was some help on info about possible repairs. (Oh, by the way thanks for letting me know where I can get those clips for the plastic cover on the engine...I'll be heading to Home Depot)

We will definitely have to get together again!

Oooh, oooh...I gotta know what you would call those clips at the old HomeDepot. I am in need of one myself but have no idea what to ask for when I hunt one down at HD. Thanks in advance

I'm also looking forward to running into some of the club members one day (at least before the Reading meet). It should be no surprise to anyone that they are nice guys and I have a sneaking suspicion that the same can be said for just about every member here

It's a start!

Now you guys need to keep the ball rolling and work on a Florida meet!

P.S. I know you guys think it's cold down there....but it's been near zero up here! Forty or fifty degrees would feel like heaven right about now....(currently 25 degrees in bright sunshine....snow everywhere)

Let's see, south of Key West & north of Cuba,..... you'll need the amphibious kit for your SVX. You better contact SVXit. He knows how to install this kit.

In Home Depot in the hardware section, there is an area with automotive clips. It should be just to the right of the metric bolts.

Cool. Is there a certain size or generic part name it goes by? My car didn't come with them so I have nothing to reference by.

Right, your looking for Atlantis, I hear there's a big rush on timeshare units there.
I'm not kidding either, some crazy bugger is selling Timeshare rights for the place, and they are selling, I'll look for the site.

Long Lost Family

Joe.. Great meeting you the other night. Thanks to Solar for setting things up. The clips you mentioned are in the hardware isle at home depot. They are used to put together prefab furniture. They come in 2 prts, male and female. The female part fits perfectly in the grommet. Tight enough that you dont need the male part ( story of my life !) They come in black, white and bronze and inexpensive. Hopes this helps. Looking foward to getting together again ( when the temps over 50)

some REAL estate...

<Right, your looking for Atlantis, I hear there's a big rush on timeshare units there>

Well, actually I was thinking about Ft. Jefferson, but Paradise Island would do. Interestingly, there is a site recently discovered underwater near Cuba, that on sidescan sonar anyway, has the indications of a planned city. More dives at the site are planned this spring. Personally, I think Atlantis was a real place, but placed in the wrong ocean. The island of Thera, or whats left of it, near Greece seems to fit the bill.

Speaking of the Atlantis resort....have you seen the waterslide that passes through the aquarium? Wild..... Don
