I guess maybe we'd better explain to the other readers of this thread that this is all in FUN!!! (right Doug? Doug????).

Anyway, the urge to "go over the edge" here is pretty strong so I better ease back.

In the interest of maintaining marital bliss I need to find a positive spin in order to keep my wife happy about attending. Aside from the laugh she'd get by seeing you again. Did I tell you she talks in her sleep? I'm pretty sure she refers to you as "Little Dougie".

All right, all right, I'll play nice. What time you planning on getting under way and do you guys intend to spend the night or just blast down there for the day? Let me know the details and I'll keep the pressure up at home.

I have no idea so here's a thought.
Friday night we get together in Milwaukee for dinner / beverages if Randy is going to stay here. Then Saturday morning we head down. Saturday night I guess is up in the air.

I'm wondering if in the spirit of "threads" we should move this to the Midwest meet" thread...

I think you are correct about the discussion content being better suited to the Midwest Meet thread. Maybe aredub can do the cut and paste for us.

Is Randy hanging out in Milwaukee on Friday night also? I know it was a fun time when I got together with you and Colin at the Ale House. I'm sure the more of us lunatics that get together in one place the more, um, interesting, it'd be.

Keep me posted and I'll pitch it to the house spouse.

No idea, but hopeful. Randy, do you have any idea on your schedule for that weekend? How many will be in your party?

My thinking (yeah, you did smell something burning) was that if a run to Rockford wasn't in the offing for Saturday at the least I'd hitch up with you guys on Friday for dinner and some yuks.

The plan was still to make it up to the Sprints with my 6 year old. My brother races but I don't know if it is on Saturday or Sunday. I'll have to get in touch with him in the meantime but there is a chance this will all work out.

Headquarters has gone and made plans for me out of town on the 22nd AND 23rd. I'll see what I can do to rectify the matter but at the moment it doesn't look good for my attendance at the Rockford get together.

I'll keep you posted but right now it looks like the wings have been shot off.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to leave after work on Friday. It's about 9 hours to Rockford, so, I probably won't even get there 'til Saturday A.M. (unless I can sneak out early). I've used up (or have already scheduled) all my vacation days for the year. I'll have to do some "fenageling."

Just double checked with Mapblast. It's more like 7 hours, but, still, I'd be arriving awfully late for dinner. But, we'll see.

Okay everybody this its getting close.....

Defintie plans:
June 23 (SAT) in Rockford, IL at 11AM
Will meet at Cherryvalle Mall, its big enough that if someone where to get lost on the way in Rockford...stopping for help would be no problem (if you get onto Perryville Road going south it will be towards Harrison, you will want to turn left at the next light (BMW dealership on that corner), Followed by a right at the first set of lights (Mobil station on the right corner) follow short road to the right, and turn into the Bergners parking lot (I will be parked at that corner)

Will make map also if needed, if using mapquest or a similar site, search for perryville road (intersection with Harrison) area code 61114

after we all arrive and meet eachother, planning on going to a buffet and grab lunch and shoot the breeze

This is my first time doing something like this sooo please bare with me
