Agreed but please resize them. Even the T1 connection is bogging down.

I would be OK with 1024x768, but 800x600 is good too...

Glad to have met you folks that I did at the meet. Sorry I didn't stay long. I never do at a meet, unless I'm racing. It is only 45 minutes away from me so...........

Reading X will be a cinch! This was my 2nd Reading and was much better this time (The rainy weather sucked last time). I KNOW if I stayed any longer and drank more than the one can of beer I did, I would of been one laughing/giggling fool.

The meet pictures are very, very welcome. However, putting up a series of pictures that put pressure on the server and are at best discourteous to members with slower connections is not good.

Plus we can only see the full of the screen at a time anyway so huge jpegs are pointless.
Could you resize them to maybe 800 x 600 or a little bigger in future?

Thanks

Joe

Well, you know Dave, I think I will make the effort. 3 days would make the distance worthwhile.

Plus I have an aunt in Atlanta I could visit, and some friends in Caintuck and Virginny I would like to see.

Yeah, count me in.

Joe

Great news Joe! I do have to warn you though.... The trend seems to be that once people fly in for one Reading, they feel the need to come back every year

Just ask Earl

I expect to see him there!

OK, I'll ask.

Reading IX highlights for me, based on the pictures so far.

Top car, Mike 621's Claret. Wonderful work. Beautiful car. Class, pure class.

Close second: John Hoffman's Polo [as usual ] Would have been closer still without the pool of oil, that's the way it goes.

Outstanding paint: Diana's tri-tone. Looks da bizzness!!!

Best ebony: Gordon and Lauren's '97. Very suave.

Biggest surprise : I'm not wild about red cars, but the brilliant red SVXs were a genuine stand-out, and a credit to their owners. [I've never seen one over here]

Consistent beauty: Any Laguna Blue car that was there. You folks are really taking care of your motors.

Top people: Everybody.

Funniest: Ron's spoiler dispenser is challenged by the bowling shoe vehicle.

Best mod: John Hoffman's battery tie bar. I mean, c'mon, who else gets a bespoke jeweller to make their battery ties??

Best wheels: Reserved judgment. Too much quality on show.

Unexpected numbers: Only 10 Pearlies??

Joe

Wish I was there.

Thank to all the pic posters, especially with the faces to the names. Great to see some of the people that I know, and see some of the newer members.

Probably only be a three day trip for me, to get there.

Harvey.

I was talking to poeple, I think cozykat and eric, about how cool it would be if it actually did dispense wine.
Yes, we were talking about how you could make it functional by putting a bag inside and sealing it to the nozzle.
