I see the rad support has been cut. I like the red bungee holding the hood.

I made a upper rad support for it and it will be re-installed when all is actually finished with the car (under hood stuff). I will be using hood pins though for simplicity as there is no way to use the actual hood latch with the way I had set it up.

sweet, the dash is working now, along with the windows and other related problems that have now been solved. The fans are wired and WORKING!!! She is ready to rip this weekend!! Now to drop off that Alt at the rebuilders tomorrow morning and she will be a GO!!!

One issue that I am not sure how to adress. The tach is obviously pick up signal for a 4 cyl as it wraps around when it is revved... Anyone have any ideas???

they make signal converters i have seen one used a vanagon to allow him to use the stock 4 cylinder tach with an eg33 swap... yeah it was a bad ass vanagon. or you could tear the dash apart and see if a svx tach would fit.

Smallcar sells a lot of EG33 conversion stuff for Vanagons. Maybe they've got it.

If don't mind going after market, I picked up a tach at Auto Zone on the cheap that just has a simple switch in it with positions for 4, 6, and 8 cylinders. Worked like a charm when I went from a 4 cylinder to an Inline 6.
