(sorry for being a PITA)
the video is kinda silly, but the funnAy comes from the person's English translation of what they are singing in another language.

i don't see any "disrespecting of Indian culture."

I'm Indian and i found the "translation" funny as hell, nothing offensive

Some background info for those who don't know:
- Just about every state in India has its own language and script (21 official languages i think) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/India
- Those kinds of videos are VERY common in Indian movies in all languages.
- The language they are singing in is called Tamil, spoken in the southern state of Tamil Nadu
- Unfortunately i don't speak the language cos i am from the next state over (same place Tom is from). But i think the "Benny lava" part is actually "venn nilavu" which i think means "white moon", i might be wrong.

Not knowing the context, "white moon" could be just as bad if not worse than Benny Lava

To say, they are not the actual translation... they used some words that come close to the words they use in tamil.... coming to the song... all indian movies must have songs with actor and actress otherwise people just doesnt watch them and they always have background dancers in them. Coming to voice, its very rare that a hero gives his own voice for his songs, thts the job of playback singers and they have much demand in indian film industry.

Now for the actor, at one time he is a sensation and he is the one who came with incredible dance in indian fim industry. At present he does one of two films now and then. His main drawback is, he is not as handsome and gud looking as other mainstream actors. He had some hit movies where they are there for his dance, but you cant make hits just on dance, while his acting is not gr8.

Here is a video from one of his hit movies (in Tamil, not in my language Telugu )

Here is another one (this is in Telugu and yes they made that fiberglass body bus just for the movie)

I think n00b on demand is from Kerala where they speak malayalam not tamil but might understand tamil (maybe).

-Pavan.

Those songs are usually all from movies. Thats where songs in India usually come from. The songs tell a little bit about the movie also.

Just like Rbalach said....every state in India has a different language so I wouldn't know the translation of that song posted in the begining of the thread.

I'm going to guess it's about the guy being in love with a girl and how special she is and how crazy she makes him. Thats just about the meaning of every song
