99% alcohol will clean Sharpies off most any non porous surface. I'm not sure if rubbing alcohol will or not, but give it a shot.

PS Whiskey won't cut the sharpies, but it may ease the pain.

Isopropyl alcohol removes permanent marker from these kinds of surfaces. I have used the weaker 70% alcohol without problems.

This was suggested to me... and works, BTW...

Ive heard that writing over sharpie with a Dry Erase pen and wiping away before it dries will be able to remove most sharpie (permanent marker) writing.

You give your toddler permanent marker to play with?

Very indulgent Chris.

You may need to revisit the ground rules.
