The Internet Crime Compaint Center takes information like this, and refers it to the appropriate agency.

Maybe they can put a lid on this particular problem.

The pictures are very decieving. One of the rims is bent considerably. All of the center caps are crap. The point is that he did not disclose ANY of these things. The bent rim, bubbles and worn off clear coat, or the fact that the tires were all different....and that 2 are summer tires 2 are all weather (all are different brands).

The guy is just plain decieving and a crook.

I would have liked the option to have made a choice on them. I passed on several others because of his representations.

I also found out later that the people he was bashing anc clamined that weren;t him ALL have the same dam last name as him.

I hope he really needed that money and that he spends it well.

He posted a description, which is his 'opinion' of the wheels' condition. Then he posted pictures. If you wanted them to be perfect, you should have asked really really specific questions, and DEFINITELY have asked for high res pics before buying. If I'm looking for something 'nice', I never bid unless I first get high resolution pictures. I'm sorry you aren't happy, but it's part of an ebay seller's job to 'talk up' their product in an attempt to sell it. Now, it IS possible that maybe he didn't know a rim was bent. I certainly don't see a bent rim in the pictures.... which one is it? As for the centercaps, they all look fine too. Post some pics, because they look great in those really really small low res pictures in the auction, which is part of the problem.

Kelvin, those are good points to think about when using ebay. However, give me a break - I looked at the ad and it's misleading at best. The description of the seller said mint condition. To me - and most people - mint condition means "as new". Granted, it's an assumption that the tires would all match, but it's a reasonable assumption if a seller is marketing a set of mint condition wheels. This is going way beyond "talking up" his product, it's fraud. "in my opinion".

I bought a passenger and driver's door from him but I went to pick them up. He's only a couple of hours from NYC. The driver's door had a dent in it which wasn't listed in the description and probably happened when they took the door off the car. The other door was perfect. I knew I took a chance but the door color was a perfect match for my car which saved me the cost of repainting. It took a couple of weeks to get my money back for the dented door and he did eventually refund thru paypal. The only way to deal with seller's from Vineland, NJ is to pickup the item and pay them cash at the time of pickup.

Some of the pictures of parts are not the parts that are shipped. How does that work? Good for them.

You may not like the wheels that came on the SVX, but they are stock. Some of us do like the car to be stock. They may not be the best looking wheels out there, but they are certainly not the worst ones either.

As we know he is part of the same South Jersey crowd even though he is doing business out of Philly now.

OH NOEZ!!! I R tEh b4D GuY noW!!

So anyway, here's the point:
With a name like ebayBrad, I'd have imagined a little more buying sence from you. None of the pictures were really close up, the centercaps weren't even pictured, and the tires clearly were pctured as mismatched. But still, its easy to see how you could end up getting ripped off from that guy/ guys if you dont know their history. It's unfourtunate you had to find out the hard way. Best of luck getting your money back

actually, the guy has a flawless feedback rating...

i would bet this is not his only account and also not his first and only account.

Even a seasoned ebayer can get duped. You will get duped also if you think pictures are accurate. I missed the tread thing... Point is that nothing was disclosed.

Regarding the ugly wheels.....

This is your opinion and obcvously, because i bought the wheels, I do not share it. I just don;t understand why you would offer your opinion in this situation. I had aftermarket wheels on the car...that i sold for $900 and CHOOSE to have the stock wheels on my car. I feel they are the only ones that look normal on an otherwise not normal car. It just doesnt need it.

It depends. The SVX is an older car now. Today, mint means 'really great shape', it doesn't mean 'totally perfect'. And no, I am not the seller, but if I was the seller, I don't think I'd be refunding this guy either. Again, it was his responsibility to ask for really high res pictures if he wanted wheels that were completely flawless. If I were selling them, I probably would describe them as mint also, BUT, I would have pointed out ANY flaws I would found, just so I'm sure people know what they're getting. It is possible this guy didn't even notice these flaws.
