Plastic timing cover : Same as EJ22 ?

Okay so I went and looked at an EG33 at a salvage yard. It looked complete and in good shape (although dirty...). The one thing missing is the driver side timing belt cover (black plastic). I'm just wondering if I can snag one from the ubiquitous EJ22; thats supposed to be the same engine minus a pair of jugs, right ?

The eg33 was built from the ground up at least 4 times before production.

It is highly unlikely this piece will be swapable.

I'm thinking all EJ22's have one cam per side, so that would eliminate that. Maybe???? a cover off of a Dual Cam EJ-25????

I think I have a set of half decent front covers already pulled. If your interested, send me a PM.

the pullies of the eg33 are longer than the pullys of the ej25, i gave my friend a couple of pullys for his ej25 buggy and they barely fit behind the timing cover, but all of the pullys are in the same place, basically point being is you would probably have to replace all three front covers if you went with the ej25 covers because they are not as big as the eg33 covers

If that's the case then it won't fit because the pulleys would rub the cover. There is not much clearance as it is.
