Revs while shifting

Got my transmission rebuilt in December, no problems with it at all Execpt:
Someones while switching gears, it revs up a little while its inbetween gears (`500rpm). Should i take the car back to the tranny guys(1yearwarrenty)? Or is the problem electrical related?

It rarly happens.. About once every 3 drives...

thanks,

when it happens, is it all the shift points, or just some (& which ones)?

Possible issues:

- TPS out of adjustment
- band brake out of adjustment
- worn clutch was not replaced

ditto, ditto.

I would place least emphasis on the clutch - not as an expert opinion - just for some reason I think the weak clutch in the Subaru is the high clutch, which means you would first see slip in 3rd to 4th gear changes (or so I believe, but then again I believe in Santa Claus too).

The TPS check is easy and only requires a VOM and a safety pin.

The band adjustment requires only a 17 and 7mm wrench (but small hands, coupled with a contortionist background couldn't hurt. )

it sends a varying voltage to the ECU, which interprets the information as to throttle opening and rate of change of the opening, i.e., you're flooring it.

The TCU takes the data and sets things like the POWER mode, and changes the shift map, adjusts pressure levels, etc.
