Can't say for real-world conditions, but the AllData CD I have says there is no authorized procedure for adjustment...sorry
I seem to remember someone took one off once upon a time & had a heck of a time getting it right again - maybe lwin???? |

Like it was mentioned earlier the ECU just needs a few starts to relearn the new IAC position. Until then your idle will likely be high.
