Ever live in a rain forest?
I'd like to say I do.
Ever since it snowed last week it has not stopped raining. Literally. Go outside, 3 pm, raining. Go back out, 2 am, raining. Start up the car 7 am, brush the green leaves off, raining. Work come home wake up 5 days later, raining. Ever hydroplane an SVX? It tends to want to fly off the road at highway speeds. Puddles deeper than 3 inches will in fact splash over the car at any speed above 10mph, especially while cornering. If a puddle is deep enough and your X is like mine, water will come through the firewall (it ain't no waterwall lemme tellyou). Steam erupts from under the hood at stops as the exhaust pipes sizzle. Traffic sucks, people tend to move slowly, yet they still get into accidents and forget to stop at red lights. Alaska is fun times right now. Luckily ice isn't clogging the drains. I should spring for that red XT6 while I can see the ground.

And I'm a wet-pavement chicken..... I LOVE THEM!

Wipers are only necessary at low speeds. Alaska rain more like a Florida drizzle. For shizzle. Quote:
I have the same tires I had when I got the thing. Akuret GTX (or something) all seasons. The balder ones were rotated to the back last year. These things took me 60 miles safely at 80mph during a blizzard on a twisty highway behind a large Dodge throwing snow in my face. Thems good tahrs. edit: Hohyeah it's still raining. edit2: Wanna know something weird about these things? When the pressure is low, they squeal like banshees, but with proper psi they peel out silently. I tested this. Weird huh?

Stopped raining this morning.
About an hour ago however, I found I was not out of the water yet. The inside of the windsheild looked as if it needed wipers like the outside. Ever see a waterfall from within your vehicle?
