I have a '92... how do i find the production #?

Look at the VIN and the last numbers show the production number. If you post the VIN, we can tell you what the number is.

The PRod. No. is usually the last three or four numbers in the VIN.

yes, that would be the number. To find out if the car was manufactured in 91 or 92 (yes, they were made in 91, but called 92s) look at the tag on the door post on the drivers side.

That's odd, if there were just over 5000 SVX's produced in it's first year, that would mean that my once thought of SVX prod # of 6964 is actually 964. It was produced in 11/91 so is seems feasible, right?

Your last 5 digits are the production number. But keep in mind a few things:
1) We don't know how many SVX's were MADE each year...just how many were SOLD. Some people say there were approx. 8,000 SVX's made between 91 and 92....about 5,000 sold in 91/92 and about 3,000 leftovers sold in 93. 2) Production numbers don't always start with #1. For example, the first production Baja was number 58 or 59 or something like that. 3) The SVX was shipped to several countries. It's possible that these vehicles got different production numbers....which would really make knowing your exact number difficult to find out. Dave Last edited by red95svx; 07-06-2004 at 06:58 AM.
