Is my '96 SVX under Warranty?

Hi,

My rear wheel bearing is failing I think since I
hear a kinda loud droning sound coming from the
back. My car has 30,000 miles right now. Is this
car still under warranty? I checked a carfax history,
and it shows the car was first registered in Oct. 97.
Can Subaru replace this problem under warranty?

Call SOA at 1 800 SUBARU3. They might tell you

Yep, they'll tell you, you just need your VIN number handy... I called a few weeks ago and found out that my '97 is under powertrain warranty until Nov. 2002 or 60,000 miles :-)

Don't forget when you call that number to tell them and ask them a few things:

1. Register the car in your name with them. They will send you disoucnt stuff in the mail.

2. Ask them if your VIn has had all the recalls done on it.

3. If your hood has been replaced or repainted on the under side get the replacment stickers for the vehicle. I believe they are free. Mine has in front end damage prior to me getting her and they will send you the factor ones that should be there. A body shop might not do that for you.
