Leaky tranny???

are the svx's known for having a leaky transmission? I have something leaking on to the exhaust pipe and Its not oil,I ruled that out over the wekend, but Its right under the drivers seat around where both pipes join and start to go to the back of the car. Thats where I see smoke coming from but the trans is dry underneath and has no leaks I can see but I dont know what else it can be.

as the steel pipes come out of the transmission they lead to a set of hoses up around the starter. It could be one of these hoses is leaking, then running down onto something before dripping on the exhaust pipe.
