CL500 CL55 AMG Brochure

A little bit off topic....

I attempted (unsuccessfully) to win a 2001 CL500 CL55 Mercedes brochure on Ebay and I have received an email from another ebay person who asked why I was bidding on that since he just contacted Mercedes USA and they sent him one for free.

I explained that I was in Oz (that does not show up on Ebay) and here, they do a background check before they will even bring a CL to the dealership for you to inspect!!! As for brochures.....Bob Hope and no hope!

Anyways, I was wondering if any of you US guys would be able to perhaps see if this guy was legit and if so, and if not too much trouble, perhaps order one for me? I would pay the shipping costs of course.

*I like the CL series....they cost a fortune new but plummet like a stone in terms of resale value - at least the old one did...the new one is stunning but does not have the panache of an SVX!*

Umm, actually I don't know what he was talking about. I just went to the MB web site and was able to order a brochure for every AMG they have. I'll let ya know when they get in.

Good for you - I found no links anywhere that suggested a request for brochures...

It's on the site, I went to the US site, then selected a model and then selected Purchase tools, and Purchase Inquiry, and asked that they send me a brochure on whatever model. It just took a bit of digging.

Yes, I see - I was digging in the wrong direction.

I did, however, click every option on an S600 and bring the price to a low, low $150,000.

I know that this doesn't have anything to do with the CL55, but, I'm pretty excited. I posted the winning bid on the SVX "Prototype" brochure on E-Bay, rounding out my '92 SVX literature. I now have the Prototype Brochure, The Pre-Debut Brochure and the Showroom Brochure. I'm a happy camper!

Not fair!!! I heard you got it for $31.00US!!! I paid $99US!!!

But great to hear that the collection is growing!!!

And the yellow SVX is still for sale!!!!

A) Yes, you heard correctly. Kinda makes up for the price I paid for the Jacket.

B) I think I'm going to call my "collection" complete at this point. I don't have the "What People Are Saying" book, but, I don't really care about it.

C) AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!! (I have a lot of those stored up -- there were many, many, many Yel__w cars at Autofest. In fact, our slots were right beside two Yel__w Volkswagons. DOUBLE AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!
