Question Cruise control

Is there any way of pulling out codes from cruise control without Select monitor ?

Dang, I like this web site!

This thread just saved me all kinds of problems diagnosing and repairing a faulty cruise control. Five minutes of searching and 20 seconds of repair time solved the problem when I was thinking maybe I had a hard-to-find electrical problem. Gotta love it.

Put a small zip-tie around it to hold it securely. This hose usually gets accidentally disconnected when you are checking the transmission fluid and goes unnoticed.

Good advice

In my particular case, the cruise worked fine when the heater core blew. It took me about three months, working whenever the weather was good and I had time, to replace it. When I got the car back on the road the cruise control didn't work so I thought probably it was something that I hadn't connected properly under the dash. I must have dislodged the vacuum hose when I was disconnecting the hoses to the heater core.

Hose fix

Ok, so im reading this thread and, I notice the pick posted by Nordique14.

I go out side and look under the hood and my hose was hanging lose . So whats the deal does that hose just pop off from time to time.

I have examined that engine before looking for weak vacum lines and stuff. I cant beleive I never noticed that hose.

Just goes to show you the benefiets of these forums. I have not had a chance to road test it with the hose now attached. Looking forward to an improved cruise control. thx

Re: Cruise control

this is one of the simplest fixes ive ever had to do on my SVX
svxcess is absolutely right about it getting accidentally disconnected when you check the trans. fluid.
happened to me a long time ago and it took me a good couple weeks to realize the hose was just hanging there...

Re: Cruise control

Thank you once again SVX World Network! This was probably the best experience I've ever had fixing a problem with my car.
