Where to put Tach Sensor???

So I have my autostart fully installed. Everything works fine except when I remotely start the car it runs for a few seconds and then turns off... My guess is the tach sensor wire from the remote start module is not connected to the right spot. So my questions are:

1. Where do I connect the tach sensor? (currently I believe it is connected to a fuel injector wire)

2. Is there something else that could be causing this problem?

PS - The power door lock switches in our center consoles were made by Nissan haha. It says Nissan on the under side of it... I thought it to be quite funny.

hi the fuel injector doesnt give the right count unless you can change it on you remote start ,the ecm creates the tach signal ,connector b61 pin 16 is yellow ,and subaru uses nissan and mitsub switches

Re: Where to put Tach Sensor???

Where is it on the ECM? The ECM is big blue connector right? I've found diagrams and they really don't look too much like that connector. Would a negative spark plug wire work? I've tried many things with no luck. Starts and runs for a few seconds and then cuts out.

Re: Where to put Tach Sensor???

I believe I was looking at that same ECM... The big blue harness? No matter now though, I tried both spark plug wires not knowing which was which and got it on the second try. I believe it was the yellow wire coming off of the spark plug.

Everything is fully functional after a very long install.

Re: Where to put Tach Sensor???

I installed the Astrostart Astroflex 4100. I wouldn't mind at all. It's always nice to make things easier.
