urgent - mechanic in Santa Barbara???

Hi everyone,

not sure this is the right forum, but I urgently need to find an SVX mechanic in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area of Southern California.

My SVX is at a buddy's house up there, with a broken front differential. He is leaving this week, and the car will have to be moved somewhere. I am out of the country in a couple of days until February and do not have the resources to store the car. Can anyone help? Otherwise I might just have to get the car junked.

:-(

Gabriel

I'm not sure about any Subie shops in the SB area. Did you try any of the Subie dealers? Are you in the military and thats why you're leavinf the country? If so you can store it on base for a low fee usually and most of them are covered. Wish I could help you more.

No, I'm not in the military... and the dealers are not exactly the best option generally... what subie dealer even remembers what an SVX is, and won't charge me a fortune to fix it?

You have a point... It'd be a shame to junk such a rare car.
