do i need a radiator?

hey guys,

heres my question to all you who have owned an svx for awhile. im looking at the aluminum radiator group buy and im getting the feeling the stock radiator is not sufficient for these cars? im planning on beefing up my cooling system with a tranny cooler and temp gauge and i do plan on taking my car to the track, i guess what i need to know is are the stock radiators good enough or do they tend to crack quite often? thanks

the stock radiators cool well enough but the plastic will eventually crack.

I would say you don't "need" a radiator.

I also wouldn't replace it until it cracks. Maybe have the aluminum rad ready to go when that happens.

You can also buy a stock radiator brand new quite cheap on eBay. There is a shop always advertising them. I bought filters from them, they are prompt and good to deal with.
