can it get any worse

My landlord sideswiped me and denied it then admitted it. The estimates I gave him were to high for cash so he calls his agent. Now he offers a free months rent. About half of the repair cost, now I have to prep the car myself to save $$$. I broke all but 3 clips removing the black plastic piece that wraps around the back windows "Where the SVX logo goes on the later models". Is there a trick to getting those off? I can't seem to get the long black metal piece off that secures the rocker panel, any trick to that before I break anything? This car is not easy to get apart! This car has had a tough month any advise on removing the rockers would make things easier and if anybody has some replacement clips lying around please let me know.
