Dead battery

My battery has died . Now before anyone laughs what kind of replacement battery should I get. I've never in my entire life had a battery die. I guess it was bound to happen sometime right?

There are opinions on batteries like there are on oils. I have to replace the battery in my SVX every two years or so. I go to Sam's, get whatever the little computer tells me to and install it myself.

I've got an optima battery. They're pretty expensive, but It makes me feel like I'm treating my svx right!

Yeah, you can certainly go that route, but electricity is electricity, you know? Maybe the Optima lasts longer, but it'd be interesting to see if it's more or less expensive over its lifetime for the same CCA.

I usually call a couple of places and divide the cost by the totally free replacement period - smallest number wins. Got my last one at Wally World.

i purchased my latest battery at wal-mart as well. i bought the most expensive one they had and it was only $60.00. i remember paying like $80.00 for a sears die hard a couple of years ago and i believe they have the identical amount of cold cranking amps.
