Zymol And back to black

Got some Of that "back to black stuff from mquires"since all my trim around my windows is geting quite crusty and white in its old age. WOW this stuff after a few minutes of goiing around the car and using quite a bit, really is staying nice and black. I couldnt get all the white out of it, but its damn near close and im guessing with a few more applications i will be good to go.
I also bought some zymol, they finally got it back in stock, ill take before and after pics and see what this stuff isreally made of since i have a garage queen that gets polished quite often and thoughrly(sp) sorry about the spelling, its early!

"Back to Black", huh? I will have to look for that as my window trim is looking shabby after a couple waxings and it's age. Most of the white on mine is wax film in the texture of the window moldings, especially on the lower molding. I was planning on lots of toothbrush time to try and work it out but it's good to know there is another option to restore the black. Thanks, Phil!

I have been using "Back to Black" for about 6 months now. It is a great product. Zepplin told me about it and showed me how it worked under the hood on all of the black parts. It does a remarkable job on anything that is plastic or rubber that you want a dark black. I love it.

Can you use it on tires to get that show car look?

I have never used it on my tires, but that might be interesting. Try it and let me know how it works.

Back to Black is really good stuff. I wouldnt use it on your tires though. It also has VERY poor durability. It'll be gone in 1 or 2 washes. For a more permanent solution try some "Forever Black" from www.properautocare.com It's an actual dye, and will keep the trim black well....forever!

There's also a lot of better products then Zymol, check out www.autopia.org for all your detailing questions. (do a search on a product before you ever use it on your car.)

I couldnt find anything on using on the tires, but i dont think it would be good...

Try some Meguiar's Endurance Gel (it's a purple gel stuff). It's really good, and lasts a long time. It's kind of glossy, but you can buff it out to a more matte finish if you want.

Is Forever Black sold in retail stores? I like Back to Black but it does not seem to last.

Nice website! They have a free downloadable detail instruction booklet too!

I hate the dirt that most of those tire "wetters" attract... than your tires end up brown... yick! That purple gel stuff is better than any others I've tried, but still not good enough for the SVX.
