How do you expect me to post something positive about those ugly wheels?

wait.

here you go:

I'm SO HAPPY those rims aren't on my car. I love the fact that my car doesn't look ghetto.

There. Enjoy more of my opinion.

My parents told me that... then I would tell 'em to just shut the @#&* up! Just kidding... but I've always hated that saying... the world would be WAY too timid, or something, if people only said nice things. I realized your question was mostly rhetorical, but I thought I'd chime in anyway.

Rob is just a bit... "free" and "open" with his opinions, good or bad. I personally don't like the rims either, or chrome (usually) for that matter. Stuff like that leaves me with a dissapointed feeling when I see it on the road... but whatever. People put what they want on their cars... and if I think it is ugly, then it should just make me feel better about how MY car looks. I often have the same thoughts as Rob... but I voice them differently, if at all.

I, for one, appreciate all your SVX-geared efforts and contributions, Dayle... greatly! I think everyone here is a contributor, though... if only to be someone to chat with and share ideas and opinions... usually I'd rather they remained a part of a club than not.

I know you didn't ask for my opinion, either... but I hope you're cool with me voicing it.

its all good

dude, I speak my mind too as you can tell.
Those rims arent my first choice of rims either by far.....
(but sense we did trade them in, for some chrome 18s actually for a customer, figured it was a perfect opportunity to
take some pics to show people who may like to see
how they would look on their car )

to me chrome looks great on black or red cars
for sport Luxury cars (ie Lexus, Lincoln and even the
Svx falls into that catagory depending on how you view
your Svx...)

Still think Robs comments arent really justified when
I wasnt asking his opinion, and sure I feel like Im being
attacked since they are on my car....
I also stick with my original question about what
positive way has he contributed to this site, seriously.
All I notice is most of his comments are really unnessasary
Seems more like a hater then anything else......dont ask me why.

I like them I'm not a chrome hater but I don't want them on my car. It just hasn't been my style. I have seen cars where chrome rims just look rediculous i.e paint looks like **** there is a bondo colored fender.... or its a hatchback (of course i've seen some v-dubs with chrome that looked good, seen some that didn't). Its just a matter of tasteful or not. I wouldn't sweat the whole rob ghetto thing. He said the same about the rims I got but them tols Solar he liked his (check our lockers you'll see.)

strange... but true, i think i saw those exact wheels on a impala SS that was lowered, seemed slightly bigger though (not sure) like a 96 or whatever normal kinda cop car body style... pretty funny seeing those. they actually don't look that bad on an SVX... i think chrome wheels that do work on an svx, have less metal and a little more curvature to the spokes.

Actually, if you had said those were YOUR rims, I wouldn't have provided my opinion.

the rims dont look that bad honestly. I never liked big bling bling huge chrome 40inch rims and stuff..but those are moderate and classy, like something youd see on a nice bmw or mercades.

on a side note, how do you think stock wheels would look if they were resprayed red / silver mirage (on a red car obviously) Basicly like stock wheels with a tinge of body color to em

you thought those were heavy.

in one of the posts from 2003 someone noted that the spoke rims must be heavy.....

these weighed a ton
