Need someone in Calgary to check out a car

Hey guys,

Thought I would try here for some help with inspecting a car. I'm 7 hours out of Calgary and can't justify the trip in just to look at a car. If anyone could go kick the tires for me and let me know how she checks out, that would be awesome.

Basically: the SVX keeps having more and more problems that are costing me a lot to fix, it's almost at 140k miles, I miss driving a standard (mmm 6spd), 4 doors would be better for me, etc. That and I've always loved this particular BMW.

1999 BMW 540i 6spd 140k km. Good price. I am close friends with my local BMW Service Manager, and he's almost got me convinced to buy a bimmer. I have loved this model of 5-series since it came out, and I figure if I already drive an expensive, rare, large, heavy car with crappy gas mileage this would not be a big change for me.
