Heat Shields

I was wondering if I can just have my heat shields taken off? Will it mess anything up?

When I was getting a new axle put on the mechanic says he would take them off but I wanted to ask u fellas first cause most mechanics dont know alot about these cars. so yes or no...

Just be aware that parking on grass with no heat shields = fire.

Are you sure it's the heat shield(s)? Other things will make terrible noises under an SVX, i.e., resonator, cat, etc. Take it from one who knows.

I think the heat shields also help the converters heat up quicker.
