Angry @%#$!

It was bound to happen sooner or later, I guess...

So, here is what the g/f decides to do to the car whilst on the way to pick me up from work. Concrete posts and Soobs don't mix that well.

So, here begins the saga of getting this damage fixed. It's not too bad, only about $600 Canadian. I just may use this as an excuse to get the whole car done...we'll see.

Ouch. Sorry to see that.

Hopefully you didn't chew your g/f's head off for it. This is all a test you know...

Is it really fair to say that your girlfriend 'decided' to do that to your car?

Well, I suppose you guys are right...but I've learned one thing outof this whole incident. If you say "Are you all right?" Anything after that is fair game.

I'm going to end up using this as an excuse to get the whole car repainted. We're talking, and came up with British Racing Green (or near approximate), with Silver stripes (the same width and pattern that they are now...see locker for pics.

I think the green with silver will compliment the rims nicely...I have to go with a dark exterior colour, due to the interior. I think it's going to look pretty nice. the paint itself will be very metallic, as it has a large amount of flake in it. Thus, the car itself will be almost chameleon, and the stripes will be painted on...no more sticker. The windshield banner is going to go as well, and a custom grille is going to be manufactured for it.

So, here begins the saga.

Edit: Yeah, those rotors and calipers look like hell too...they're going to get redone as well. Haven't decided on colour yet.

I second the opinion for wider stripes, and closer together (much like the new Ford GT).

I also agree that the green/silver combination is a great one. I owned a 74 corvette coupe that was a dark metallic green and custom ordered from the factory with silver leather interior, carpet, etc. It was a dynamite combination and there was not another one made, according to GM.

(At that time, GM had "recommended" interior color choices for each paint code. If you wanted to deviate, the car had to be paid for in full prior to being released into production. This kept them from being stuck with something weird if you decided you didn't like it)

Loaded to the hilt with L-82, close-ratio 4 speed and all bells and whistles brought the total up to $7860.00

Go for it if you can.

Is insurance going to help you pay for some of it?

Looks like you got away easy this time. My story is coming as soon as I catch up on some posts.
