Re: Facebook

Its real easy to past the 10,000 mark when building one of these engines and its still NA. and your right there are a lot that buy one first then find out the cost of getting them running and keeping them running. Your ether a good mechanic or have deep pockets to own one but that goes for most street rod also.

He helped me work through concept issues on the rear brake upgrade, by private message, rather than through the SVXNation group. There appear to be a couple of other knowledgeable folks, but I'm not sure what is really knowledge and what is bluster. A lot of talk of 3-D printing and custom stand-alone EMS. Don't really know what is real and what isn't. A lot of totally unrealistic aspirations for engine upgrades. Most of those guys don't realize that there is only a limited advantage that can be gained with bolt-ons. NA engine horsepower is expensive, much more expensive per marginal horse than forced induction horsepower.

There was and is still ongoing efforts to repair a lot of the damage that was done over there by that individual. A lot of really good people have went out of their way to help remedy the situation. I won't get into my personal stuff but dealing with all of that was one of the worst experiences of my life. There are a lot of knowledgeable and good people there but most efforts have been to try and repair what was done.

Re: Facebook

I am new to this world; but like others, not much for FB.

In the spirit of this forum, I just donated (via PP) for cause on the "Official" fund raiser link.

Re: Facebook

Thank you. I don't like the FB format. This is still the best place for information and help. The How-To Docs has got a tremendous amount of information that many members miss. Good luck.

Re: Facebook

With my face, I'd never go on Facebook. I love SVXes (SVXi ?) I was on the site before Yahoo, then the Yahoo SVX site and now this one. So I guess I'm just an ancient old timer.

Re: Facebook

This site can't go down! It's a wealth of knowledge! Let me know what I can do to help. A text based site like this sjould be cheaper to maintain these days. Are you running the server yourself or are you paying a service company?

Re: Facebook

Just out of curiosity, what does it cost in terms of hard dollars to keep this site running on an annual basis?
