Colby

Today I have a heavy heart. Colby the cat is no longer with us. He was an orange tabby. He was an outdoor cat during the day and stayed in our garage at night. I put a couple of those small electric heaters in our garage plus dry food, a bowl of fresh water, a dish of wet cat food, and a clean litter box. Also, I put a cat bet on the trunk of the Viper or Rosie's '94 SVX. Both cars are double covered. He came to us about 7-8 years ago. He originally lived in one of the houses in the development behind us. But when the house was sold the people left him. He did not want to live inside our house with our other cats. I found him on the lawn of a house next to the main drag in in our area this morning. It looked like he was hit by a car. I buried him today in our back yard in an area where I've interred other pets. I sure hope he is with them in heaven.
Rosie is taking this very hard.

Re: Colby

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. We lost a son, two parents and a cat so far during this pandemic. I hope you believe me when I say that I feel your pain.

You did good by him.

Re: Colby

RIP Colby.
We've gone through a clowder of cats over the years. Many were outdoor cats we adopted after they were abandoned by their owners. I can't believe can be so cruel to their pets.
We had an orange tabby named Marmalade. One of the most wonderful outdoor cats was Jack. He was a big black cat with only one eye thus one-eyed Jack. He looked scary when we found him but soon became a big Teddy Bear with proper care.
We too have a cat cemetery. There is starting to be too many residents.
