I want your "mint" OBD-1 SVX (Chicagoland)

Hey guys. I'm looking for a minty fresh OBD-1 SVX.

I'd like something with little to no rust.
Leather in good condition. Ideally not ripped to pieces.
Dash/instrument panel should be in fine working condition.

Ideally the engine and trans are healthy but it won't be a deal killer if not.

Hard question to answer. I would spend a good amount to grab a super low mile SVX.

Significant Technical Input
Re: I want your "mint" OBD-1 SVX (Chicagoland)

I'm going to sell my 94 lsi soon. It's the black car that used to be at the top of ECUtune.com and now is at the top of www.subiechips.com. It's never left Florida so it has zero rust and won't be starting to rust any time soon. It has been the test bed for everything I've ever developed for SVXs so with it you will get the bragging rights of owning a piece of performance SVX history if you will.

I'm confident that mechanically it is the best SVX in the Universe.

You don't have to worry about the head gaskets or it dripping oil on your driveway. It has a fresh JDM driveline. The VTD transmission got all the upgrades of one of my performance rebuilds--which it got. The performance characteristics of the VTD transmission are really much better than the US market cars. If you're looking to add power this is the best transmission you can get to put that power to the road. It won't spin the tires when you launch like the US mpt transmissions do. The 3.7 gearing is very nice. I took the low miles JDM engine down to the short block and sealed it back up with a genuine Subaru overhaul set so you have all new genuine Subaru gaskets including head gaskets. All new coils, all new hoses, all new everything. The JDM engine doesn't have EGR so you don't have to worry about that ever failing on you now that the parts are no longer available or blocking it off if you are adding some type of forced induction. I have a thread on the driveline swap here: http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=60414

It has a very nice custom dual exhaust system with stainless Magnaflow high performance spun catalitics, a stainless magnaflow center x muffler, and a pair of pair of dynomax superturbo mufflers in the back. It has zero resonance and zero rattles. It sounds like a caged beast--not a ferociously roaring hamster. This isn't one of those exhaust systems where I tried really hard and it just didn't come out. It's not just the best I've heard; It's absolutely perfect. You couldn't and wouldn't want anything different.

The car has all the other things you might want upgraded like an extremely high capacity plate and fin transmission cooler with an inline thermostat controlling a high performance fan that keeps the atf temp to 176 degrees no matter what, drilled and slotted rotors, I rebuilt the calipers with genuine Subaru rebuild kits. The driveshaft and radiator were replaced with new parts from the dealer so you don't have to worry about them either.

It has a pioneer premier head unit and infinity kappa separates all around.

The car was painted with DuPont premier polyurethane shortly after I got it so it is very shiny. There isn't any fading clear coat. The headlights have polyurethane clear coat as well so they are crystal clear and will stay that way forever--they don't yellow or require polishing.

I posted this picture on the forums the other day of the car with the front bumper off when suggesting someone paint their waterfall grill. I had the bumper repainted to remove some rock chips. It gives you some idea of the condition in the engine bay and front of the car as well as the lights.

It IS time to take it to an upholstery shop. The leather is dried out to the point that the seems have started popping on the front seats. Still, it's a lot easier to get seats reupholstered than to build a car like this. It sounds like you are looking to build a high performance SVX--if that's the case you'd be VERY hard pressed to match this one even for twice what I'll take for it--which is $9900.

I was so close to grabbing one before, then I let the girlfriend talk me into a BRZ. Now that they are both gone i'm back to looking for a SVX. Had a hard-on for one after getting walked by one while in my RS-T back in 02. That 30-70 roll

I'm not sure what an "OBD-1" SVX is but you may take a look at my 92 Pearl White LS-L listed here. I am the one and only owner.

My 92 Teal LS-L is for sale. It only has 71K original miles on the clock. Tranny was replaced at 50K, two tranny coolers were installed since then.

My 92 Yellow LS-L is for sale too, 140K.

I'm selling them for cheap and come with ton of spare parts!! I am not here a lot so please don't PM me I won't get it, it's full. Reasoning to sell is to moving overseas.

If you're interested, email me your number. I am about 9 hrs away from your location and see if we can work out something. Thanks.
