O/T Who would want a 350z?

Looking at the new Krain's Auto news at the new Infiniti G35 Coupe (based on the same platform as the Z but stretched 8 inches with 2+2 seating. Same engine, same perfomance, slightly higher price, much better looks and a heck of a lot more practical. I see that the new Murano sport wagon will also be based on this platform. Maybe that'll lead to an awd version down the road. Its no SVX but its also not a 350z/Japanese Audi TT coupe.

If only the nearest Infiniti dealer wasn't in Baltimore I'd give a full report .

350z

Obviously you, haven't seen the Infiniti g35 yet? Too bad there's only like 100 Infiniti dealers in the country.

g35

The g35 is a coupe or at least there is a coupe option! It just fixes the short-n-fat look of the 350z with the added 8 inches for the back seat.

the g25 coupe is my moms next car.

but the RX7/8 kick just about everyones ass in that market...rotary engine, very unique looks, comfortable, and i bet the resale will hold best. for me, i'd go for the rx8...distinctive, and room for more than 2 in comfort...the g35 back seat will be a bit smaller than the SVX one i'm told.

Thare you go overlooking the wondeful state of DELAWARE again.
The Ininity dealer in Wilmington, DE is closer to Lancaster, PA than the one in Baltimore.

Yesterday, it only took 59 minutes to drive from the Morgantown Holiday Inn to my house and the Infinity dealer is 20 minutes from my house.

Yeah, but we know how you drive Larry!
BTW, glad to see you finally own a '92 pearlywhite ,
how does it compare with the other one?
I like both the Nissan and the Lexus, but the SVX
still rules!

Dela WHERE??? , Infiniti says Baltimore's the closest on their website so thats what I went with. Besides who would want to go to a sales tax free state anyways?

I'm pretty sure there's gotta be an Infiniti dealer here in Pittsburgh. I'll go for a drive later and find it.

Ok I agree the g35 is very nice in the coupe form. Infinity are just extra nice nissans. But i still think the SVX or a WRX is better. just want a 6 speed in the SVX

I would never trade my SVX for one but I would never buy a 350z over one either. Performance is virtually equal and this one doesn't look funny. I would like to drive one though esspecially if since the new cross over sport wagon will be based on this platform they decide to make awd an option. It would never replace the garage space reserved for my svx though.

I love the SVX! and I like rare cars, think there is one other svx in the area and like 1 or 2 other pulsars. Kinda cool when poeple have to ask you what your car is then you get to talk their ear off bout your awesome car, yeah i know they think i am some wierdo.
I would trade (not trade in) my svx for either of the other cars, but id just drive it for a week then sell it and get 2 SVXs
