I haven't had a moving violation since I bought the SVX in '99. My last speeding ticket was four states and many vehicles ago.

Oh god... here it goes....
 5 tickets / 0 warnings / 5 years 1st ticket, in GA (I-16): 87 in a 70 2nd ticket, in FL (I-95): 93 in a 70... Officer reduced it to 77 in a 70 on the spot though 3rd ticket, in NC (Greensboro, NC): 53 in a 45.... 4th tickett, in NC (I-40): 77 in a 70... Pissed the cop off because I passed him on the highway... Apparently that really offends them when you pass them  5th ticket, in NC (I-85): 83 in a 65.... And it isn't even like I am a bad driver at all... I am EXTREMLY safe... I use my turn signals, brake nice and early, lights on almost all the time... I think that everytime I have been pulled over, I get the vide from the cop that they think I am some young rich boy in an an exotic sports car just out to break the law... AND I'M NOT!!! They just always catch me when I need to be somethere and am in a hurry ... But after my last ticket last weekend, I said screw it and bought a radar detector... I am tired of those pids getting me for being a safe but fast driver... They should start pulling over the bastards that ride in the left hand lane and obstruct the legal passing lane... Or the people that DON'T use their turn signals... THOSE are the people that should be pulled over!!! Speed has never killed anyone, ever... Becoming suddenly stationary is what does it... And those other drivers out there are the real threat to a safe driving experience, not speed...It's all about money... Screw the system!!!!1!!

But I was pulled over once -- I was driving on a road that I knew I would be on for 2 miles with a 30 mph speed limit. A cop car was right behind me. I knew it would suck trying to stick exactly to the limit while being tailed, so I pulled over and let the cop pass. I waited a little while and then continued. Sure enough the cop was around the next bend, pulled in behind me and turned on the lights. He ran my plate and license. He told me my bonehead move was typical for people driving a stolen car. He thought the whole thing was funny -- I did too. Then he drove away, I waited for him to go first. Pretty lame, but I really hate having a cop car behind me. It would have been better in a 40 mph zone -- 30 is really hard to maintain. In my area, they now have police cars without many of the usual markings and without lights. I guess they weren't making their ticket quota. Very sneaky.

Belha got a ticket for 97 in a 70 limit
I got one for 43 in a 30 limit We've owned our claret SVX for 8 years now. Both times we were driving safely. Why is safe driving a crime?

My last ticket was in 93.... Had many tickets in my teenage years (back in the 80's )...learned when and where I could drive fast without too much aof a chance of getting caught.

The warning was for 77 in a 70 in the ass-end of the desert in northern Texas no less. Granted he was nice enough to let me off with a warning, but damn, come on. Nothing but a tumbleweed to be seen for 20 miles in either direction. Yeesh.  I also expect this squeaky-clean record to go to the dogs since this weekend I'm about to drive from South Carolina to Oregon. Come to me, sweet American roads, your endless expanses are whispering in my ear. Quote:

RSVX they take your license for that here. it is either 4 in 5 years or 5 in 4, but either way, you went over
 1 ticket for driving with out a sticker - could have got out of it if I had the time 1 warning for walking to my car suspiciously -  WTF 4 years i think -edit- but in that time I have also regularly driven 100's of cars, no tickets or warnings in them though.

speeding and careless driving (apparently taking a gentle s-turn at 45 in a 30 is careless... WTF! this car was made to do these and then some.) warned for lack of turn signal usage
