i think we have a weiner.

i think it is a nice looking car, but i'd rather see a coupe or sedan - i personally just don't like small hatchbacks.

Yeah that may be, but its going to be hard for them to enter a sport hactch market with only a auto. Ive driven the santa fe 5spd auto AWD and the sport mode (were you shift) was the biggest let down that I had in a while, extremly slow to react, and some times it wouldent do what you wanted. Most performannce people wont be happy untill they get rid of that torq converter. Personaly i would rather have a 5spd manule that was FWD than a auto AWD.

Also uberoo subaru produces a 2liter turbo ej207 that produces 320hp, 160hp a liter.

I suppose you are right that people would rather have an FWD with a 5spd manual than an AWD auto when it comes to hothatches, but that is probably gonna be left up to the production model of this.

Also I doesn't seem like the shift mode thing on the Santa Fe is meant to be a sport shifter, even though allot of salesmen seem to peddle that, but more of something like the SVX's "Manual Mode" to stay on or go to a lower gear in case more traction is needed.

One can only hope for Hyundai's sake that they have made some actually upgrades to the TCU and 5spd auto tranny for this concept rather than turning the "sports shift" into a paddle shifter if they intend to put this car into production. Which they are showing allot of signs of doing and have been for some time.

I also didn't know you can get that much hp per litre out of a ej20t, I guess the AVLS is actually amounting to something.

you're thinking of the hardcore enthusiast - more cars are sold to the larger market of posers/girls who buy V6 Mustangs/Camaros/Firebirds, Probes, Eclipses, Celicas, etc.

It looks pretty nice to me. It could be a strong competitor against Scion Tc and Mazda3.

...but its street legal, and you said nothing about showrooms or pump gas when you said, "I also didn't know you can get that much hp per litre out of a ej20t".

you can buy the ESX Signature Edition car from select Subaru dealers - 365hp, C.A.R.B. approved, smog legal, warranty.

If you're replying to me, I meant hp per a litre not total hp and torque. I thought the ESX WRX was an aftermarket tuned model, unless it is still under warranty even after you tune it? Plus can someone get it in the US?

divide 740hp by 2 (liters) and ..... hp per liter!

it is tuned by ESX with Subarus blessing and can be purchased in some select Subaru dealers here in the U.S.

i wouldn't buy it - its red with white stripes (bleh), and i could do the same performance mods cheaper than the package deal (but without the warranty.)

Thats simpler than I thought, but it must mostly apply to Subaru engines.

And thanks for clarifying about the ESX WRX, and you're right.

divide anything by anything and you have ____ per ____

ex1) miles traveled / number of gallons of gas used = miles per gallon
ex2) beers consumed / hours to consume said beers = beers per hour
ex3) number of flatulance incidents / burritos eaten = farts per burrito

were you home-schooled?

That car is HOT. I hate hyundai and saturn but they both will be making a car that I would ride in. The sky, and now this.

I was just thinking that decimals were involved.

Also, 365 divided by 2 equals 182.5.
