Jayahalasi: "I Read in a list of cars for GT4 that both the '95 L AWD SVX (Alcyone) and '03 B11S Concept were included. I haven't seen any proof of this, but as I do not own the game I may have just not come accross them yet. Anyone Know anything about this?"

(because I don't know how to quote yet)

It could be that the cars you listed in your post are just in the Japanese version of the game which wouldn't surprise me at all. And my 2 cents...I think it's a Supra.

It's an R32 Skyline, probably a GT-R.

On second thought, it looks more like a GTS-t then a GT-R.

Those were lists released by optimistic people who pretty much including every car from every Gran Turismo series as well as the hottest current cars and concepts. It would of been great if Polyphony actually heeded to those lists though. But I highly doubt they would take those lists into account for the up coming expansion to GT4 or even GT5. But we will still try.

Had to use a pic of a toy Skyline, but that should give you enough of an idea.

Not sure, the nose of the car in the cover seems to jut forward a bit more than the Skyline's does. Also, the point of Gran Turismo having different covers for different continents was to have a car on the cover which is sold on that country or continent, the Skyline was never sold in America, at least until the G35 if you want to get technical.

Good theory about the covers having region specific cars:

Japanese cover:

Except I wonder if anyone can guess the Eurocentric car on the European cover?

As far as I know, there's never been an official proclamation of what car was under the cover. Only the NTSC version had a covered car on the box art. Although the consensus when the game came out was that it was a Skyline, PD seemed to have more fun keeping it a secret, neither confirming nor denying the true identity of the car.

It really looks like like a mk3 supra turbo, long hood, same rear end. It was sold here and did alot for Toyota, and how people viewed Japanise sport cars in the US.

I'm sticking with FTO. The spoiler on the back and the rippling of the cover only make it apear to have a dramatic incline on the rear body.
