Checked under my car again today and the front seals look ok. Nothing is really dripping from there.....but after the oil pain going to the back of the car it is dripping a little bit....couple drops...dont think its anything to really worry about. Are those the rear seals? Its not tranny fluid because its brown exactly the same color of oil and my tranny fluid is nice and pink.

Significant Technical Input
Rear main seal leaks aren't common. I'd concentrate on looking at the valve cover gaskets or breather hoses.

I pointed out your valve cover leak while you were here. They're on the side of the engine.

Hey Tom Whats up you can't give me a call when you have problems? I see how it is. Anyway, I can put the seals in and throw a new timing belt in at the same time. It's up to you though. Also, do you have a garage where it can be done? I dunno if u wanna drive down here, but the folks have been giving me a hard time about using my garage too much. Well let me know, I can bring all the tools up there if u want. Seals are pretty cheap too, I will send you a link to all of them.

timing belt and cam seals #7 and 2x #12

Front Crank seal

might want to pick up lower timing belt cover gaskets too as they will be soaked with oil and very expanded. let me know if you want help doing them. it is not that hard. Just time consuming.

Tom, if you could come here or i could come there and we could do that work that would be awesome!!!! I would be eternally grateful. Im just too afraid to do work by myself and you know how some mechanics can be . Im going to assume its only going to leak when the car is running right? because whenever its parked it drips like once an hr. I'm actually on my way out...gonna hit the clubs in the city tonight . And we all know what tomorrow is....the day my eagles begin our dynasty . Thanks for all the replies guys....tom i have your number 609-276-7279 right? I'll give you a call sometime and tell ya whats up!

yes, thats me numba. give me a call whenever and let me know like 2 weeks in advance so i can take off of work. With the cam and crank seals, it will only leak when you are running it. I can do valve cover too but they are a pain in the arse. well let me know whats up.

when it's running it will leak out of the seal itself but the timing cover catches it so, it will not be visible until later. I went all the way out to kentucky with a shot crank seal (i did the cams without doing the crank). It burner a whole lot of oil from the manifolds but when it is parked for a while it won't leak at all. Just delayed because the cover will catch it at first.

Tom

P.S. I want some canolis when i get there.

you are going to need both lower cam seals #12 on the one page I showed you. On that same page you will need to buy #7 which is the timing belt. On the second page, you will need to buy the oil seal for the front of the oil pump(AKA crank seal). It is optional but recomended to replace the timing cover seals you can find them in the link below. I think thats it.

#'s 2 and 3 will do you fine.
Timing cover seals
