Squealing from the wheels

Back in May i had this horrible squealing coming from the back wheels...turned out to be the brake pads needing to be changed. At the time the guy said the fronts were " ok" so i didnt bother to get them changed. Recently when i put the car in reverse i get this terrible whine coming from the front....so today i put the windows down and it seems to be coming from the right front wheel. The bad whine is in reverse but when in drive it squeals a little bit when giving gas but not as bad as in reverse . When i go over bumps you can hear it squeal with the impact of the bump. I'm going in to get the pads changed tomorrow....hopefully that will solve the problem. The squealing isnt half as bad as it was with the rear wheels before. My brakes have been bad for a while....need to step on em a lil bit more than usual to get the car to stop....has been like that since i bought it too. When i asked the previous owner about why they were like that he said he didnt notice anything. I think the pads need to be changed and the brakes need to be adjusted. We got the brakes adjusted in my moms camry and boy that made a hugeeee difference in stopping.

They are probably dragging. You may want to check the pins on which the caliper slides. These can dry out and seize up causing premature wear on the pads and squealing.
