i'm pretty sure it doesn't play MP3's, but its the CDX-M730 (with detachable face, XM radio ready, wireless remote.) the MD changer is the MDX-60.

Yep, it's a cheesy stick-on. Looks passable with the black trim but not so great with the wood.

No offense intended... It's a comment on the kit, not your car.

Looks like Dayle's aluminum kit. I wanted to get one of those, but I didn't realize it left so many gaps to see the wood. I wonder if it could be sized larger to fill in the gaps... and have less cut out around the buttons, then the button descriptions written on top of the new kit. Complete coverage would look pretty nice, I think.

yeah, it does leave some gaps, and i didn't even wipe the little backing paper scraps off the edges yet. i plan on covering any exposed "wood" with some blackout tape. it really is an improvement over that stupid fake wood. i'll post pics when i'm done.

Hrm. I think it's too much. What I'd be interested in getting would be some REAL aluminum trim, like door handles and window switches. That'd be SWEET. Then you could throw them on a buffer and make em look NIIIICCEEEE, plus they'd feel great when you touched them.

Nope thanks. It has to be the JVC since there is one kameleon unit with voice command features. (and you can't press on the sony unit to make things move)

that would be ideal, but it would be big bucks! a company made some aluminum trim bits for the 928 (also a "no aftermarket" car - i guess i like a challenge!). the door lock buttons, which were about the size of a quarter and maybe 1/4" thick were $55/pair. door handles (which are small) were $95.
to do all the SVX's switches and trim would probably be $1000 or more, if you could find a company to even make them.

I don't think it'd cost that much. The window switches for example, you'd use 7 identical pieces. 4 on the drivers door, and 3 on the other 3. The door handles, there are only 2. Could any machine shop do these? I'm interested in organizing a group buy if you guys would be in on it.

It'd be pretty sweet if you could find someone to do a good job on them (cut well and smooth)... without costing a bundle. However, I think all the little switches and the dash panels would also have to be done to match... otherwise I think it would just look kinda funny. I'm thinkin' that could really get expensive. But, if you can find a good source... by all means... and I'd be inerested!

it would kinda look goofy with some aluminum switches and some black plastic ones. don't forget the window lock switch, the door lock switch (center console for some SVX's), the shifter buttons, the e-brake handle button......$$$$

I'd just like it on the doors. I think having the alumium all over the dash would create way to much contrast, and sorta be an eyesore. If anyone's been in a mid 90s accord, I mean kinda like that. Just a 'touch' of chrome on the door handles, and the dash remains black plastic. I don't think it looks goofy at all.
