coposdyx. let me reflect on that and let you know.

in regards to speed. i'm not sure how fast i was going. i was watching the two imprezzas and feeling how my car handled so i don't quite know the speed. guess it was over 70 but was under 100. 80-90 maybe?

thanks for all the support and concern from all of you. i did not crack or breakdown from this experience but i'm eager to hit the dragon and the skyway again.
Thats cool, Ive been there......just not with this car though
It can be an eye opener, hey....does this mean your going to change your "wording" in your signature ????

Glad that you are OK from it all, mentally as well as physically.

The handling characteristics are interesting. My car, European spec does not do this at all, sometimes the slightest bit of initial understeer on entry under braking, but a touch of throttle and she pulls straight through all corners.

Maybe the SVX was designed originally for the rear-wheel-bias tranny?

Were you on the original shocks? Losing oil from a front shock would give the handling characteristics described. I was always advised to never keep a set of shocks for more than 5 years as the seals can break down and fail. Maybe I should do a poll?

Sorry About the car! Im glad to here your getting it back to Atlanta.

If you are interested, you saw my green 95, It is for sale if you are interested. I will make you a good deal on it. Just give me a call sometime. You might want to see what the insurance company will let you keep your car for after they total it. they may let you keep it for like( 500 or less ) less than the totaled out price.

You got my #s anyway, give me a call sometime I have another 92 for sale also that i can send pics of.

re: thx gotsubaru

thanks gotsubaru. i'll definitely check into that. i'll let you know soon on what i'm going to do. funny how stuff works out. typically i don't see much svx's around but yesterday i saw 4 svx's all over atlanta. some at subaru dealerships awaiting on repairs, some on the road. i saw one white one at the subaru dealership in gwinnett. also saw the subaru-svx.net sticker on it. anyone here own that nice LS-L?

also was looking for a 2.5RS Imprezza, but no luck.

i'd love to come see yours gotsubaru. since i'm pulling off the parts from my subaru, i'll have all the goodies to put onto another svx. then upgrade the suspension to one similiar to porters.

Harry, sorry to hear about your loss

but glad to hear you're OK!

These cars are amazing for protecting their occupants. I bought a wreck last summer (pics in locker) that from all estmates should have decapitated the driver. While he didn't walk away from it imediately, after two days in the hospital, he went home. Amazing considering the damage.

Best of luck in your hunt.

Todd

OMG Todd

thanks todd. i just looked at those photos. i'm very happy that the driver made it out alive. what happened to cause such damage? i would like to know to avoid anything that even can remotely cause something like that.

i try to be a safe driver that's why most of my accidents do not involve a 2nd party. i take note of anything and everything mobile around me. that is by far the worst wreck i've ever seen and would like to know the details of that accident.

Noir (Harry),

I don' t know you but it's sad reading about what happened to your ride. Good thing you are ok and thinking of still getting another scooby.

Do you know who the XT6 driver was that got in an accident?

Yeah Kevin,
It was Austin von Kleist from FL, the owner of the XT6.Org website, he had bought that XT6 new....I REALLY hated it for him...but he did still have full coverage ins. so he'll get another one.

Hmmm,
I just put a set of the Yokohama avs es100's on 17" wheels on my 92 and so far I'm not impressed with their handling. Does anyone have any comforting thoughts about these tires.
