Yep he is up for it....

Not only that...I may have a new riding buddy. He is going to look at a BMW and was asking on whether or not they let you race bikes. Heck yes they do.

I was planning on taking my bike down there anyways. Hopefully I can pull a mid to low 11's! Must more exhilirating than my SVX I'm afraid.

I would love to get a bike. However I would be dead within a week. After you see how I drive you will understand. Are you still into racing at the import drags on the 8th of Oct?

Hmm should be ok. However my B-day in on the 4th. I may be up in Canada celebrating with my girlfriend (her B-day is the 23rd). To save on air fare this year we will be probably taking a joint celebration.

If I am in town, sounds good. I might just watch though. I don't want to embarass our cars against the really fast imports.

You guys aint making it easy on me here. I mean, especially KFC! MMMMM -- HOME cookin' I'll put it on my "wish list," but, unfortunately it probably won't be a reality. Although, I could tell the wife I'd drop her off in NE to visit with the kids and grandkids while I run off to CO. Hmmmmm. Gosh, it would be neat though.

Maybe we can splurge and get you Country Buffet! All you can eat home cooking.

Besides, I have some axles to do...you can help with those.

On the contrary you can emarass them! If it's bracket racing. As long as you stay close to your dial in time and stay consistent on react.time. It doesn't matter how quick the other car is. You'll still win. well unless he's even closer and faster at the light

Very good point....

Considering last time I ran a dead even 0.7 reaction time, with a consitant 18.1s run. Maybe I would have a chance. They would just have to give me a good 6-8s headstart.

18.1!!!!

Even from the factory it shouldn't be that high!

you should at least be high 16's/low 17's.

I think my worst time, before i put the cat-back system or K&N or anything was 16.6-16.8 somewhere in there.

But where are you racing at? You have to realize the track is actually at 7100 feet above sea level. On the hot day I was racing (89 degrees), I would doubt I could do much better. With my pulley, and some new plugs. Hopefully I can drop it to 17.5s but I figure I would be lucky at best to run it.

I quote Homer Simpson, "Doh"

I'm in Indiana.

Maybe we could add a stop at IRP in idianapolis to the 10th Anniv. meet, to let you mile-high-guys get a chance to race in some thicker air, that is if ya wanted to. Personally, I'd rather do that then take a tour bus-style lap around the Brickyard. I'd think I could keep my foot of the gas if i'm runnin around there. It'd be neat, but boring at the same time.

my $.02

Ryan,

Found another guy with a 92 black SVX in my area. I followed him, and talk with him for a bit, his car is in really good shape. However he is using it for work (pizza driver). Poor svx, I killed my old honda doing the same thing. Anyways told him all about the meet and he said he would jump on here to find out more, so well see.

Unhappy Bummed..

That guy Chad has to fly out East on the 28th - 30th. So he can't come for the meet. I'm not sure if we would like to wait until the following Wednesday, or just go ahead without him. He seemed pretty excited, and sounded pretty bummed out that he had to go.

Let me know what you think, I personally could care less what day it is, I just want to see a bunch of SVX's in the same place.

Chad is happy that we suggested that...

So I figure we roll it back to Sept 5th. This is better for me anyways, my axle isn't doing so well. After racing this green mustang down the freeway on my way to work this morning, it wasn't being nice to me again. Some day's its bad, others its not, however hopefully the parts I should be getting soon will be installed by that point.
