Unhappy Steering Wheel won't lock

Hello,

This is my first post. I am sorry to say that I will be selling my SVX shortly. It's a great car, but I have more pressing matters to attend to. There are a few small problems I'd like to fix before it's sold:

My steering wheel only locks on the bottom position. If it isn't locked on that position, it can move freely up or down when you are driving
I've gotten used to it, but people who are interested in buyig the car will be turned off by it. Is it a major repair? Can I fix it myself? Who would know how to fix something like this? Please let me know. Thanks in advance for your help.

Cameron,
Have you tried adjusting it, using the lever in the center of the bottom of the steering column. If you look underneath the column, there's a lever that folds into the column, undo it, adjust the wheel to mid range, then, close it. See if the wheel stops at that position next time you raise it and pull it down.

Now, if that turns out to be the solution, will you sell your car to me at a BIG discount?
