Builders and Architects...Question for you. :)

I got a question. Isn't there some new building material that's supposed to be very good for use in building homes, offices, and whatnot?

It's supposed to be some porous concrete/cement mix that's extremely light and easy to cut. I remember seeing some that's about maybe 6 inches thick and sold in giant sheets/blocks.

This material's supposed to be very efficient for heating and air.

Apparently it's been used for quite sometime in Europe and maybe Canada, but recently introduced to the US market. I believe I heard the factory's located somewhere in Florida.

That's all the info I got on it and it's been a ***** to find out the name of the product/costs.

Where I got that info, I can't remember. Either I glanced over a quick article, heard about it on TV, or hearing it through other people talking about it. <shrug>

Thanks!

I think you are referring to autoclaved aerated concrete. You can get it in Apopka, Florida from the Aerated Concrete Corporation of Florida - http://www.accoaac.com/ or Aercon Florida in Haines City - http://www.aerconfl.com/
