doesn't it bother anyone?

Anyone else bothered by the large number of svx parts and motors for sale on ebay?
With a car they made so few of, everytime I see an engine for sale all I can think about is there is one less svx to save.
It seems they are so expensive to maintain that people part them out at the first sign of trouble.

well it's not just trouble per say. alot of people totalled their svx or found a parts svx in a yard somewhere and probably got the parts cheap knowing there's a market for it. i mean hey you can tell by some of the members here that's gotten ripped off by the same people who are selling on ebay.

Yes, it is a shame. There are some people out there that just part them out no matter what problem there is. You can get more money by parting them out than fixing them up. That is the problem right now. Eventually there will be few of them that the price will start going up and the trend may change. At least I am doing my part.

Really Sad

One guy on there now selling parts had a perfectly good Silver, but couldn't get as much out of it as he wanted--so is parting it. Soooo sad.

Same here... its a shame on svx owners while they part their cars just to make money while there is still a lots of potential left in them, if they can spend a little on the current repairs. Even its not a full year i own it, I never wanted to loose it even i have no money to maintain it while I am in school and even swapped my bad tranny with a 4.44 with the help of Tom and Mark.

Only thing I can say to all is, never ever afraid of the repairs that you come across your SVX while you are having valuable support and help from this wonderful network of people who are like a family. I will never sell my SVX at any cost.

i can understand why. have you ever seen the For Sale section?

someone posts up an SVX for sale and the price, and then its followed by 15 posts of "whoa, that's too much!" and, "golly, wish i had the money."
